ABOUT THE RYE CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL
The Rye Christmas Festival is a fairly new event which had it's pilot year in 2015. A small group of local volunteers have been the force behind getting the Christmas celebrations and spirit back in the town of Rye after a few years of festive 'drought'.
The committee are responsible for everything to do with the festival, from the fundraising, promotion, event production and all related matters. This is a non-profit community event and all monies raised are put towards the event and its direct costs.
The committee also purchased and won all of the Christmas lights for the town and they install these with the help of volunteers throughout November.
