Competitions

What better way of getting people involved than to run competitions and workshops! Last year we had some great entrants for our Christmas Tree and Poetry competitions. Please see the information below and enter as early as you can.

All entrants will be displayed in various locations through town on the 10th December.

CHRISTMAS TREE COMPETITION

The Christmas Tree Competition will take place at Rye’s Baptist Church, Cinque Ports Street, Rye, TN31 7AN on Saturday 10 December 2016.

Local schools, clubs, charities, shops, and businesses are invited to take part in the competition by decorating a small Christmas Tree (maximum 3 feet). This year, the competition is open to residents too. The best tree in each category will receive a special prize.

The trees might be inspired by this year theme of the ‘Tales of Old’.
For more information, please visit our embrace the theme page here.

There will be no access to electricity so your tree must not require access to mains electricity.

Christmas trees should be delivered to the Baptist Church on Friday 9 December between 3pm and 5pm and collected on Monday 12 December between 10am and 12pm.

The registration form below should be returned by Friday 2 December. You can confirm your registration either by phone at 07455 383237 or electronically at caroline@christmasinrye.co.uk

N.B. For groups and businesses:

You may decide to theme the tree appropriate to your organisation. This is an opportunity to advertise your club / organisation. You can bring brochures, business cards etc to be displayed by your tree.
